Taube began his banking career with Bankers Trust in the early 1990s and has spent the better part of the previous quarter-century developing and growing profitable financial businesses. These organizations have invested in over 500 other firms across North America, assisting in developing new initiatives and creating thousands of employees across various industries. Many of Wall Street's most prestigious firms are staffed significantly by people he has educated.
Brook B. Taube and his family currently live in Wilmington, North Carolina. After more than 25 years in New York City's fast-paced environment, he went to North Carolina for a better work-life balance. His family consists of four kids (three boys and one girl), two brothers, and two sets of nieces and nephews.
Brook B. Taubee earned a bachelor's degree from Harvard University in 1992. Brook and his siblings inherited their parents' passion for education. From kindergarten until high school, he attended public schools in New Hampshire before enrolling at Harvard, where his mother was a special education teacher. His father's career included work in academics, law, and the court, focusing on mental health policy, family law, and education.

Because of his profound love of music, he has played the violin and viola for over 45 years. He is also an accomplished guitarist and mandolinist. His children have taken up the guitar and piano to share their love of music. He has served on the Boards of Directors of the New York Philharmonic and the New Amsterdam Symphony. Because of his intense enthusiasm for music, he has been a dedicated patron of the arts for many years.
His investments have always emphasized the need for a healthy mind and body, so it's no wonder that many of his hobbies do as well. Brook B. Taube enjoys bicycling (on the road, the mountain, and the gravel), and he regularly competes at the amateur level in both domestic and international championships. He now races for the New York-based team Dave Jordan Racing.
Brook B. Taube is a world-class musician, cyclist, and water sports enthusiast who likes tennis, golf, and downhill skiing with his family. In addition, Brook B. Taube has been an avid reader for as long as he can remember, reading books on everything from current events and history to science, religion, and biographies.
